Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

No, I haven’t developed a case of amnesia, and I’m not going through a midlife crisis. Well… I’ve been going through a midlife crisis since I turned thirty, and continue to remain smack dab in the middle of it. But … Continue reading
A Secret Crush (well…it was until now!)
This post was actually scheduled for this past Friday but, after Thursday’s sad subject, I thought I needed something a little more lighthearted. So I’m putting it up today. It still kind of fits the romance theme… I’ve had a … Continue reading
The Worst Birthday EVER
My mom was having a big birthday party for me! Including a genuine, honest-to-goodness bakery cake! In our family that was quite a treat because all birthday cakes began with Betty Crocker, and ended with some yucky decorating frosting that … Continue reading
The Mirror of Your Life
Last night, as I read Tim O’ Brien’s blog reflecting on his life as he approaches his fiftieth birthday, I realized I’d been doing a bit of reflecting myself this past year. Not because of a milestone birthday, but rather … Continue reading
The Bunkbeds From Hell
I just read something about Bob Mayer putting together a piece of furniture from Ikea and, after struggling with it for hours…discovering that he had extra screws. And I had to smile at the memories it brought to mind. Several … Continue reading
Public or Private: The Perfect Honeymoon?
Today’s blog was going to be about honeymoons, something I wanted to write about after finding a Top Ten list of popular honeymoon sites. More specifically, after discovering that Hawaii was a distant third behind Disney World and Las Vegas. … Continue reading
Gonna Drown A Guy In My Septic Tank
Yup. I’m definitely going to work that murder into one of my next novels. And while I’m writing the scene, I’ll feel a great deal of satisfaction as I picture the victim. Who would that be? My youngest daughter’s first … Continue reading
Introducing…Farsighted by Emlyn Chand
I was very honored to be given the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Farsighted, by Emlyn Chand. Until I discovered that it was a story told in the first person. And then I tried to come up with … Continue reading
Cell Phones, Social Networks, and Romance
A relative of mine got married today. Well actually it was yesterday, but I keep screwy hours and even if I don’t fall asleep until four in the morning, it won’t be yesterday to me until I wake up again. … Continue reading
Creepy Memories Crawled Right In!
I’m going to start today out with an apology…to anyone commenting on my blogs that hasn’t received a response from me. I love chatting with the people who take time out of their busy days to read my posts. Except … Continue reading
