Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Book Review: Hand-Me-Down-Princess
Because many – and I’d go so far as to say most – authors are kind of like artists in that they need to supplement what they earn from their passion (in my case, writing), I’ve decided to make more … Continue reading
The Bunkbeds From Hell
I just read something about Bob Mayer putting together a piece of furniture from Ikea and, after struggling with it for hours…discovering that he had extra screws. And I had to smile at the memories it brought to mind. Several … Continue reading
What Defines ‘Romantic?’
Sometimes the strangest questions plague me. Questions that can bug me indefinitely. Often I can’t even pinpoint what might have brought them to mind. Maybe a snippet of conversation I didn’t realize I overheard, or something I saw that didn’t … Continue reading
The Best Laid Plans…
When I decided to devote Friday’s to other authors, it seemed simple enough. Except it turns out that it’s not. Last week I realize that I need to practice a little more because if I’m going to spotlight someone, I’d … Continue reading
Greek Yogurt and Meatloaf Jell-O
Apparently a sick daughter equals a fairly productive night. So far this is my second blog, which I really shouldn’t be writing because it’s currently 4:08 a.m. Even though the fever is down, I guess the fact that it was … Continue reading
Another Fabulous Friday!
Last week I kicked off Fabulous Fridays by introducing you to three authors I’ve become acquainted with over the past few months. I very quickly determined that I needed to drop that number to one per week because it’s not … Continue reading
Overheating
Welcome to Whatever Wednesday… I’ve been feeling like the love child of The Grinch and the Wicked Witch of the West for the past few days. The Grinch because of the scene where he’s stunned that he hadn’t stopped Christmas … Continue reading
The Beat Goes On
And here we go with our first Magical Monday… Today I want to talk about music. Whether we realize it or not, it has a real impact on our lives. Even movie makers know this. And they work hard to … Continue reading
Fabulous Fridays
I’ve decided that my blog needs an overhaul. To a point. In an effort to stay up to date in the blogosphere, I realize that mine might be lacking in some areas so, after giving it a great deal of … Continue reading
Here We Go Again…
I’ve never made it a secret that fall is my favorite season. Truly, there are almost no negative aspects about this time of year. The temperatures are perfect. Comfortable during the day, chilly at night (perfect sleeping weather!). The air … Continue reading
